Frequently asked questions
The certification process is divided into two parts: First, you must demonstrate the successful and documented production of at least two projects (aegis or atheneum) within six months. This is followed by an audit where your specific workflow and the produced result are evaluated. The certification is manufacturer-independent and exclusively assesses the process-safe workflow and the produced result.
Within the "protected at print™" program, there are two specific certificates: The aegis certificate, which includes an evaluation of varnish projects, and the atheneum certificate, which has similar requirements. Both require the production of at least two projects and are valid for 18 months.
The ava verification app is a central component of the protection cycle. Part of the qualification step for ava certification is the adoption of a partner technology from ava, which allows the converter/printer/PSP to apply for access to ava. After the successful completion of the certification, you become part of the "protected at print™" family.
